Let AI truly remember your story: SOLOENT.md function
Friends who write long stories, you must have encountered this situation:
AI wrote later and forgot the rules set in the first chapter. The protagonist's motivations are inconsistent. The AI pretended not to notice the foreshadowing you carefully laid.
It’s not that AI is not smart, it’s that it “can’t remember”.
What is SOLOENT.md?
Simply put, it's your central control panel for every writing project. AI treats it as a long-term memory and checks it before each writing to ensure consistency from beginning to end.
You set the rules, and the AI follows them. It won’t be messy and it won’t be forgotten.
8 core modules, covering the entire writing process
| Module | Function |
|---|---|
| Project DNA | Set type, theme, audience, word count target, basically unchanged |
| World system | Remember rules, magic, and social structures to prevent logical conflicts |
| Role | Manage character information and relationship network, update when changes |
| Plot and structure | Control story frame and chapter outline |
| Writing style guide | The most important - Give specific instructions to the AI, such as "Sentences should not exceed 15 words" |
| Notes | Clear taboos, such as "Don't write emotional lines" |
| Real-time writing status | AI automatically updates current progress, character status, and pitfalls to be filled |
| Project Roadmap | Automatically track to-dos and completion records |
