Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SoloEnt (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of SoloEnt, including free and paid users.
Service Description
SoloEnt is an AI-powered writing assistant designed for fiction authors. The Service includes:
- Web account portal: for sign-in, subscription management, and usage tracking
- Desktop writing application: for structured story management, AI-assisted writing, and local data storage
Your projects and creative content are stored on your device; we do not host your stories, characters, or outlines on our servers. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
User Accounts
To use SoloEnt, you must:
- Create an account using a supported OAuth provider (e.g. Google, Azure)
- Provide accurate and current information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
Your account is used for sign-in, subscription management, and viewing usage. The desktop app may link to your account to enable AI features and sync subscription status.
User Content and Ownership
You retain all rights, title, and ownership to your creative content (stories, characters, outlines, etc.) created using SoloEnt. Your work belongs to you, period. We do not store your creative content on our servers; it remains on your device(s) only.
By using SoloEnt, you grant us a limited license to process your AI prompts solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do NOT claim any rights to your creative content and will NEVER use your writing to train AI models or for any other purpose.
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use SoloEnt to:
- Create, distribute, or use the Service to generate NSFW (Not Safe For Work), sexually explicit, or pornographic content. This prohibition is required for all AI content tools and applies to text, images, and any other output.
- Create content that violates laws or infringes on others' rights
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the Service for any automated or bulk operations without permission
AI Services and Limitations
SoloEnt supports multiple AI service providers (including but not limited to OpenRouter, OpenAI, local models, etc.) to provide AI assistance. These services may have usage limits and rate limits. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or quality of AI-generated suggestions.
AI-generated content is for assistance only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring the quality and appropriateness of your final work.
Payment and Subscription
SoloEnt offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (e.g. Lite, Pro, Max). The free tier includes limited features and does not include a monthly AI usage allowance; paid plans include a monthly AI allowance and additional features. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually (e.g. annual billing may offer pay-for-10-get-12 months); if not canceled, they renew automatically at the chosen interval (monthly or annual). Payment is processed by our designated payment provider.
Subscription and cancellation rules:
- Cancellation: You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account or subscription management. After cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period; no further charges will be made and the subscription ends—access and AI allowance cease at that time.
- Resuming: If you have chosen to cancel at period end, you may resume the subscription from your account before the period ends; after resuming, it will continue to renew automatically.
- Changing plans: After completing payment for the new plan, the new subscription takes effect and the previous one ends; AI budget and usage spend are reset according to the new plan, and billing continues at the chosen interval.
- Refunds: If a refund is issued, that subscription is terminated.
We may change plan features or pricing with reasonable advance notice; such changes will not reduce your existing benefits during the current period unless otherwise stated. Refunds are subject to our refund policy and applicable payment provider rules.

Refund Policy
- Paid subscriptions are generally non-refundable; no refunds are given for billing periods already used.
- If you have a reasonable refund request due to service failure, duplicate charges, or our error, please contact us at team@soloent.ai; we will evaluate your case and work with the payment provider where appropriate.
- If a refund is granted, that subscription will end and access and AI allowance will cease.
- Refund amount and timing depend on the payment provider’s rules.
Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- Upon termination, your account data will be deleted from our systems; we do not retain a copy of your local content.
- Your creative work remains only on your device(s) and is unaffected by account deletion.
Disclaimers
SoloEnt is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, and this applies to both free and paid users. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied or statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Service availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the Service will meet your specific requirements. The Service may depend on third-party providers, networks, and your device; we are not responsible for their availability or performance.

AI-generated content: AI-assisted suggestions and outputs are for assistance only. We do not guarantee their accuracy, quality, completeness, or suitability for any purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding how to use any AI-generated content in your work.

Third-party AI providers: SoloEnt routes requests to upstream AI providers (e.g. OpenRouter, OpenAI, local models). Their availability, performance, rate limits, and policies may change. We are not responsible for their actions, failures, or any changes they make.

Local data: Your creative content (stories, characters, outlines, etc.) is stored on your device. You are responsible for backing up your data. We are not liable for loss of local data due to device failure, uninstall, or any other cause.

No professional advice: The Service is a writing and productivity tool. It does not constitute legal, publishing, tax, or other professional advice. For such matters, consult qualified professionals.
Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoloEnt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service:
- Free-tier users: Our total liability is zero.
- Paying subscribers: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time.
- We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service.
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
